Ethiopia has an estimated population of 120 million.  But only one hospice. Many thousands of people there have incurable diseases. They experience uncontrolled pain, suffering and financial hardship at the end of their lives. Hospice Ethiopia brings comfort and dignity. Hospice Ethiopia brings hope.

Hospice Ethiopia UK promotes the provision of palliative care in order to relieve the suffering of the terminally ill in Ethiopia.

Hospice Ethiopia UK provides financial, educational and practical support to Hospice Ethiopia in Addis Ababa. We perform fundraising activities, training and specialist support from the United Kingdom.

MEDICINE

Hospice Ethiopia provides free medication, so that the dying have relief from pain, and medical care to alleviate the worst symptoms. 

HOME-BASED CARE

The care given by Hospice Ethiopia is home-based: clinicians visit and treat patients in their own homes.

TRAINING

Hospice Ethiopia is working hard to train doctors, nurses and other medics about palliative care.
