Talk and Auction of Promises

Saturday 21st November 6.30pm for 7pm at Templewood, Frogshall near Cromer NR27 0LJ

Join us for a special evening at Templewood, combining a captivating talk about his recent book on ‘Being more Human’ by Sir Norman Lamb, former MP for North Norfolk.

This will be followed by a lively Charity Auction of Promises, where you can bid on a wonderful range of donated skills, treats, and experiences, all in support of Hospice Ethiopia. Templewood is privately owned and is one of Norfolk’s architectural gems. Built in the Palladian style in the 1930s as a shooting lodge, it incorporates parts of the old Bank of England. This is a rare chance to visit the house and the beautiful parkland it sits in.

Our lots include:

  • One week stay at a holiday cottage in Dorset
  • Meals at Gunton Arms and Saracen’s Head
  • Tickets to Hunstanton Sealife Sanctury and Norfolk Museums
  • Original artwork & jewellery

See the full list in our Auction Catalogue

All money raised will go to support the work of Hospice Ethiopia’s nurses. As Hospice Ethiopia is a non-government organisation, they receive no funds for their work from the Ethiopian government so desperately need our continuing financial support.

Tickets cost £10, which includes a glass of wine/elderflower and refreshments kindly donated by Mrs Temple’s Cheeses. Tickets are available from our Treasurer Kyle: kyle@hospiceethiopia.org.uk or tel: 07757795741

For people unable to attend in person, we accept a completed Commission bid form. Please email your completed form to kyleandpenel@hotmail.com by 11pm 16th November 2026.
